The 54th annual PILGRIMAGE TO OUR LADY OF KNOCK

Our Lady of Knock Shrine – The geographical location and panoramic setting of Mayo, Quebec is very close to the landscape of the original shrine in Knock, Ireland. The people of this municipality are descendants of the early Irish settlers from County Mayo. The story of the apparition and a devotion to Our Lady of Knock was brought to Eastern Canada as early as 1882. This devotion continues and is still evident today, not only in Ireland, but also at our annual pilgrimage and those who visit during the year. This year's guest celebrant will be Fr. Daniel Hawkins, Missionary of the Holy Family.

"ALPHA CANADA”

Deacon Gerry Turpin of Parentaide Plus is offering a nine-week session as follows: The parenting program, with added material (prayer, reflection, Scripture passages) would be nine sessions long, one per week. Each session can be done in two and a half hours. .

MARRIAGE MENTORING

One of the greatest challenges to the Church and culture is the renewal of marriage. Marriage mentoring works with experienced couples in order to enrich their own marriages as well as equipping them to work with other couples to transform marriage culture. The Dept. for Family Life sponsors workshops given by trained facilitators in parishes or at the Catholic Archdiocese.
