Welcome to this page dedicated to the Season of Advent
During four weeks starting on November 27, we observe the season of Advent, leading to the joy of Christmas. During that period, priests wear purple ornaments. A double dimension is proposed for the meditation of the faithful: the expectation, of course, of the birth of the Savior and his coming into our humanity; But also, the expectation of Parousia, i.e. the Second Coming of Christ, the end of ages. As we wait for the full clarity of the day at the end of the night, the Christian is turned towards the light that will no longer set: Jesus Christ, the true Sun of Righteousness.
In order to help you prepare for the celebration of the feast of the Nativity of Our Lord, you will find in this section different liturgical and community resources such as the commentary of the Gospels of each of the Advent Sundays, online retreats, activities within the diocese and much more… Feel free to come back to this page regularly, as we will continue to do updates throughout the Advent season.
