It was a remarkable Sunday on October 26, as nearly 700 pilgrims set out together on a spiritual journey from one parish to another. United in prayer and fraternity, they discovered along the way the depth of faith and the rich cultural mosaic that give life to our Church in Montreal.
On Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, students and consecrated persons gathered at Montreal’s St. Joseph's Oratory for the Maranatha Christian Run. The pilgrimage offered prayer, Eucharist, and fellowship, fostering unity, spiritual renewal, and joyful celebration among participants of all ages.
On Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, Montreal’s Korean Mission welcomed young people from Mission Jeunesse for Korean Thanksgiving. The celebration highlighted cultural exchange, universal liturgy, and fellowship, offering participants a joyful encounter that deepened faith, strengthened community bonds, and anticipated World Youth Day 2027.
Embracing Migrants: A Living Witness of Hope
On Sept. 28, Montreal’s Catholic community celebrated the 111th World Migrant and Refugee Day, honoring migrants’ courage and steadfast hope. Philippine, Melkite, and Haitian choirs lifted the liturgy with song, while clergy reminded all that to welcome the stranger is to welcome Christ himself.
On June 27, 2025, priests from across the diocese gathered at La Visitation de la Bienheureuse Vierge Marie Church for a day of fraternity, prayer, and thanksgiving, marking the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and the Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests.
