Detail
Before he founded the Society of Jesus, St. Ignatius of Loyola realized that he had three types of thoughts: thoughts that came from God and the good spirit, those that came from the devil and the evil spirit, and thoughts that arose from himself. By learning to discern between these thoughts, Ignatius came to discover more deeply and surely God’s will for him and embarked on the adventure that would be his life in Christ.
