Before the conference: 19:30 to 20:00 Adoration and prayer in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples
8 p.m.: Nicholas Black Elk, the Lakota holy man made famous by the book Black Elk Speaks and candidate for sainthood in the Catholic Church, is a saint for our times. In our current context, Indigenous and Christian spiritualities are often considered to be contradictory. For Black Elk, they not only informed but heightened each other. Damian Costello PhD is an international expert on NBE's life.
