Inspired by the age-old practice of Lectio divina, which is characterized by a prayerful reading of the Scriptures, Visio divina is based on the contemplation of an image. In this guided meditation, we will be gathered around a work by the Hungarian artist Károly Ferenczy (1862-1917). This form of meditation is an ancient form of Christian prayer in which we allow our hearts and imaginations to enter into a sacred image, in silence, to see what God might have to say to us.
