Under the authority and in support of the Archbishop, the Office of Social Pastoral Care (OPS) has the mission of coordinating ecclesial initiatives and services that have to do with the charitable and social dimensions of the faith and integral human development. He assists pastoral staff in their task "to encourage Christian commitment to bear witness to the Gospel in the social field, with a concern to serve".
