Catechesis

As the Canadian Catholic organization for international development in the Global South, Development and Peace will be highlighting our partner Justica nos Trilhos in Brazil. They had to make a difficult choice when an 892 km railroad was build to service one of the worlds largest open-pit iron ore mines in North East Brasil. Come learn about Catholic values and teachings as they play out in international solidarity and equip yourself to bring ShareLent to your parish.

Come encounter a method for catechesis of young children ages 3-6 using hands-on materials in a prayerful environment. Over three weekends, this 45-hour course will lead to certification at Level One (ages 3-6) in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori-based program for children's religious formation.

The theme Stand for the Land will be the focus of this year’s Lenten season, presented by two representatives working from partner organizations: Raquel Soto of Colombia and Elvin Hernández from Honduras in the month of March.
