(CCCB) As part of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, the Pontifical Commission for Latin America and the Latin American Episcopal Council (CELAM) are organizing a continental Congress of the Americas, which will take place August 27 to 30, 2016, in Bogota, Colombia.

Several Bishops from Canada will participate: the Most Reverend Lionel Gendron, P.S.S., Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil and Vice President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops; His Eminence Gérald Cyprien Cardinal Lacroix, Archbishop of Québec and Primate of Canada; the Most Reverend Christian Lépine, Archbishop of Montreal; the Most Reverend Terrence Prendergast, S.J., Archbishop of Ottawa; the Most Reverend Luc Bouchard, Bishop of Trois-Rivières; the Most Reverend Daniel Jodoin, Bishop of Bathurst; the Most Reverend Raymond Poisson, Bishop of Joliette; and the Most Reverend Héctor Felipe Vila, Bishop of Whitehorse.
