On Saturday, June 29, 2024, we had the honour of concelebrating with the Holy Father, Pope Francis, at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican! 🙏 Several cardinals, archbishops, bishops, priests, and deacons were present for this unforgettable mass. The ceremony began at 9:30 AM (Vatican time) and ended at 11:30 AM, surrounded by many faithful members of the People of God.

Inspiring Message from Pope Francis: "One of the greatest blessings of Christianity is being able to rely on solid foundations laid over twenty centuries ago."

Highlights:

  • Pope Francis bestowed "palliums" on the newly appointed metropolitan archbishops of 2024.
  • Our Archdiocese of Montreal was represented by Father Frank Scalia and Father Jean-Marie Bilwala. What a joy it was to reunite during this celebration! 📸 The photo of our meeting shows how delighted we were to come together as brothers.

We share with you the papal blessing: "PAX DOMINI SIT SEMPER VOBISCUM," which means, "MAY THE PEACE OF THE LORD BE ALWAYS WITH YOU!"
