The purpose of the event is to open the doors of heritage buildings of a religious nature all over Quebec, in order to display their different traditions and the variety of architectural periods during which they were constructed, as well as to make them better known to the public through educational and promotional activities.

Registration for sites wishing to participate in the program is voluntary, and activities are offered according to the capacities of the site, ranging from free visits to concerts. The program may comprise guided tours, lectures and exhibits, as well as educational, interpretative and family-oriented activities.

In the current context of collective efforts to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the event’s activities will be held in accordance with public-health regulations in effect as at September 11 and 12.

Beginning April 1, 2021, those in charge of sites associated with religious heritage were invited to register their participation in the fourth annual Religious Heritage Days Event.

The registration form for activities is available on the event's website: journeesdupatrimoinereligieux.ca
