Lydia-Myriam PARRÈS entered the Order of Consecrated Virgins during a celebration at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral on November 6, 2021.

From November 14 to 21, Youth Ministry Montreal has organized a celebration as part of the diocesan WYD, to be held on the feast of Christ the King, in communion with the Church around the world.

This year, the diocese’s Office for Consecrated Life and the Social Action Office decided to collaborate, outside their separate mandates, for the occasion of the Carrefour Encounter activities, in which, every year at this time, those in consecrated life gathered together.

Did you know that Quebec bishops have instituted a Sunday of prayer and action for peace? This day of prayer, which concludes the United Nations Disarmament Week at the end of October, has as its purpose the promotion of awareness and understanding of the question of disarmament.

The fifth annual World Day of the Poor, an initiative of Pope Francis, will be celebrated this year on November 13-14. In Canada, our slogan for this year is the phrase: "Open the doors of my heart." The event is being promoted by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, which this year celebrates its 175th anniversary in Canada.
