Pope Francis releases his prayer intention for the month of April 2021, and urges everyone to pray for those fighting to protect people’s fundamental human rights in all parts of the world.

Even during a time of social isolation because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Sunday liturgy continues to offer nourishment for prayer and reflection during the whole week – whether we are meditating on the readings, or participating in a television broadcast of the Mass and making a spiritual Communion.

“It is not so much a thought we must follow, but an event into which we have to enter; it is a form of memory; and, as with every form of memory, it derives its importance from the seriousness with which, in our hearts, we focus on the contents of the memory itself, like a meditation that comes alive, ever accessible, ever more possible through the journey and the words we hear and the songs we sing.”
