50 years ago, the Encyclical Humanæ Vitæ of Blessed Paul VI was officially promulgated as part of the Magisterium of the Church. To mark this milestone, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops has issued a statement to the Catholic faithful and all men and women of good will.

A state funeral will be held in Montreal on August 9 at 11 a.m. Presided by Most Rev. Christian Lépine, Archbishop of Montreal, the funeral Mass will take place at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral.
