In response to Pope Francis’s invitation to always strive toward the encounter with the other, the theme of this year’s “Don’t Waste Your Death” event will be "Vulnerability: an opportunity for encounter".

(CCCB) The President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Most Rev. Lionel Gendron, P.S.S., has issued a letter to Indigenous Peoples in Canada. The letter indicates that Pope Francis, after carefully considering Call to Action # 58 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and discussing the matter extensively with the Bishops of Canada, felt he could not personally respond.

On April 14, the Canadian Religious Conference is organizing a formation day with Sr. Nuala Kenny as keynote speaker. Rose DeAngelis and Lana McGeary from the West Island Palliative Care Residence will be the afternoon panelists.
