(CCCB) The Catholic Women's League (CWL) of Canada is coordinating a day of prayer, "12 Hours of Prayer for Palliative Care", on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.

On Tuesday morning, April 19, the entire Catholic community was notified: Alain Faubert, the Pastor of Saint-Germain Parish, in Outremont, had just been appointed auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Montreal, to serve alongside Bishop Thomas Dowd in assisting Most Reverend Christian Lépine, the Archbishop of Montreal.

On April 20, 2016, Most Reverend Christian Lépine presided at the blessing and inauguration ceremony of the Holy Family Mausoleum at the Repos Saint-François d'Assisse Cemetery.

The date of Alain Faubert's episcopal ordination as an auxiliary bishop for the archdiocese of Montreal has been set: it will take place on June 15, 2016, at 7:30 pm, at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral.
