On September 12th, the Holy Father appointed Bishop Alain Faubert as the new Bishop of Valleyfield Diocese. Since April 2016, Bishop Faubert has served as the Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of our archdiocese.

On October 15, 2024, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), alongside Aid to the Church in Need Canada, CNEWA Canada, and Development and Peace—Caritas Canada, launched a joint appeal for urgent assistance for Lebanon amid escalating violence.
