On the evening of November 28, 2024, Bishop Alain Faubert was officially installed as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Valleyfield. The Mass took place at the Basilica-Cathedral of Sainte-Cécile in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and was presided over by Archbishop Christian Lépine, in the presence of His Excellency Ivan Jurkovič, Apostolic Nuncio to Canada.

This celebrated the beginning of a new chapter in his episcopal ministry. He previously served the Archdiocese of Montreal as Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General from April 2016, a role he held with dedication for nearly eight years.
