The faithful are invited to join Archbishop Christian Lépine of Montreal for this diocesan celebration on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral.

The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

Celebrated every year on September 14, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross invites Christians to look to the Cross of Christ. Far more than a symbol of suffering, the Cross reveals the fullness of Christ's love and proclaims the victory of the Resurrection.

The liturgy of this feast reminds us that, in Christ, the Cross becomes a source of hope and life.

The diocesan celebration will take place a few days before the feast's liturgical date, allowing the community to gather in prayer and give thanks for the salvation Christ offers.
