Bearing Fruits of Hope Across our Diocese

Each year, our diocesan impact report invites us to reflect on the year gone by and recognize the ways in which God’s work has taken root and borne fruit in our Church in Montreal. The 2024–2025 edition captures a year defined by mission-driven energy, the faithful service of many collaborators, and a renewed sense of hope.

Behind the recorded numbers are faces, journeys of faith, and tangible acts of service. This report allows us to see God’s presence at work across parishes, diocesan services, and the many initiatives that bring the Gospel to the heart of our city.

A Generation on the Move

The past year saw a surge in youth participation. Thousands joined diocesan celebrations and events, many alongside their families. Confirmation celebrations increased significantly, revealing a genuine desire for faith that is taking root and spreading among young people.

Over 500 youth received formation in Christian leadership, stepping forward to contribute to parish and community life. They do more than receive the Church’s mission; they bear witness to it and help shape its impact in the world.

A Church Close to Its People

The report also shows the Church’s ongoing presence alongside those most in need. Support for the sick, the dying, and their families continues with care, attentiveness and compassion.

Programs serving people who are homeless, ministering to families, and accompanying cultural communities reflect a Church dedicated to listening, standing in solidarity, and offering support. Through these efforts, the Church continues to be a sign of hope, even amid the challenges our communities encounter today.

Building Today for Tomorrow

The year 2024–2025 also saw decisions made with long-term impact in mind, particularly regarding responsible stewardship of diocesan assets. These measures help safeguard the sustainability of our mission and support parish communities for generations to come.

The diocese’s cultural and linguistic diversity remains a vital strength, reflecting a Church that is open, united in its plurality, and committed in dialogue.

Your Support Bears Fruit

Thanks to your generosity and consistent support, $670,000 was raised to sustain diocesan pastoral work. Each gift helps accompany youth in their faith journeys, supports families, cares for the sick, and brings the Gospel to life in our communities.

This report is more than an annual summary—it reflects what we accomplish together. It reminds us that, despite the challenges of our time, our Church remains alive, active, and faithful to its mission.
