35th Mass of Nations: A Celebration of Diversity Led by Young Adults!

Montreal
On Sunday, March 2, the Mass of Nations once again brought the university community together at the Centre Étudiant Dominicum (formerly the Centre Étudiant Benoît-Lacroix). This year, an important milestone was celebrated: the 35th edition of this mass, which highlights the cultural and spiritual richness of students from here and abroad.
From the very first notes of Peuple de tous les continents, the atmosphere was electric! A church decorated with flags from all over the world, music led by and for young adults, and prayers sung in several languages - everything to remind us that the Church is alive and universal. Mission Jeunesse was on hand, proud to support this initiative, which is directly in line with the diocese's “Auprès des jeunes” mission.
In his homily, Brother André Descôteaux, O.P., invited us to adopt God's benevolent gaze on human diversity, to see in each person a reflection of his love. A powerful message that encourages us to build bridges rather than walls! (Find the homily and the readings of the day here: https://cedum.org/homelie-2025-03-02-tout-est-dans-le-regard/). (Available only in French)
Congratulations to Gustavo Adolfo Garay Ortega and the entire team at the Centre Étudiant Dominicum for their dedication, as well as to musical director Gabrielle Cloutier and the students who brought this celebration to life with talent and passion. Your commitment is a great asset to the diocese's mission to young adults!
Thank you all for this wonderful evening, and see you next year for the 36th!
