Pianist Anne-Marie Dubois, who co-authored with Bishop André Gazaille of the Diocese of Nicolet a series of eight documents for Lent, is dedicated to spreading the light of faith through her music.

She was deeply moved at the age of 20 by the examples of Saints Thérèse de Lisieux and Francis of Assisi. Since 2000, she has presented Saint Francis all over Quebec in performing some thirty concerts. In addition, she has given concerts based on:

  • Brother André, in a concert organized by Saint Joseph’s Oratory in October 2002, the year before its centenary. This was the only piano concert ever given in the Oratory.
  • Mother Teresa, in three concerts at the time of her beatification in October 2003. The concert was recorded by Radio VM, and one broadcast was mounted at Château Dufresne in Montreal.
  • Two concerts for the Centenary of the Apparitions of Fatima, in May and October 2017, including one on October 13, which was re-broadcast by Radio-Galilée (Quebec) at Holy Trinity Cathedral.
  • "Redemption", concert for the fiftieth anniversary of the Association des Parents Catholiques du Québec, in 2016, and broadcasted by Radio VM, including the Alleluia de Liszt https://youtu.be/ESPoKHmZnQI


Anne-Marie Dubois, who co-produced, along with with Canimex and ECDQ.tv a special one-hour re-broadcast by Sel et Lumière on November 20 and 21, is collaborating with ECDQ.tv on the broadcast of another one-hour program based on Pope Francis’s "Laudato Si", with four pieces representing the four elements and composed by Debussy, Grieg, Chopin and Liszt; L'alouette by Glinka-Balakirev; La Charité, by Rossini, which is already available on her channel: amduboispianist, and the Cantico di San Francesco, reproducing through music the first poem in the Italian language and created by il Poverello: the Canticle of the Creatures, music composed by Franz Liszt. The concert will be broadcast on ECDQ.tv on October 4. A broadcast by Sel et Lumière is scheduled to follow shortly afterwards.

Pianist Anne-Marie Dubois is scheduled to perform in September 2021 at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary in Lourdes, where she will for the first time interpret in a single concert Liszt's 11 Marian Pieces for piano, and "Francis of Assisi, Man of Light," a concept she developed in collaboration with Franciscan Father Guylain Prince.

Anne-Marie Dubois has given more than 500 concerts: in China, the U.S. - including at New York’s Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall - France, Argentina, Portugal, Spain and Canada. She has played with numerous orchestras, including the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre symphonique de Québec and I Musici de Montréal. 

In addition to her renowned pianistic qualities, Anne-Marie Dubois is distinguished by the passionate spirituality communicated through her interpretation, a spirituality that has a vivid and moving effect on those privileged listeners who are her audience. Journalist Paul Ingram of Fanfare Magazine even went so far as to declare that the pianist's interpretations "could convince anyone of the existence, somewhere, of a better world.
