The Catholic Church of Montreal launches its 2022 Annual Campaign: "Giving Changes Lives", including on our digital platforms.

The 2022 Annual Campaign: "Giving Changes Lives" features the testimony of six people sharing their experiences of how their lives have been changed for the better thanks to the support of the Catholic Church of Montreal. Through their stories, these men and women of goodwill speak about the various services that the Church provides with dedication and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need.

Amid the current circumstances of poverty, war, disease, injustice and all manner of hardships, the unfortunate are left without hope, their sufferings are exacerbated, and unity and love are undermined. We are becoming aware, not merely of the scale of need that exists already, but also of the emergence of new needs within our community.

However, “through the power of his resurrection, we hear Jesus knocking at the door of our hearts, calling us to take Him in and to serve one another with our support, sharing and accompaniment. We are called to live in lasting solidarity with one another," said Archbishop Christian Lépine of Montreal.

The fruits of this generosity are the joy and love, the sense of well-being and dignity that transform the lives of our brothers and sisters. "Although not everything depends on us, each of has his or her role to play," wrote Archbishop Lépine in his letter, “Under the ‘new normal,’ an enduring essential: the spiritual.”

Together, in solidarity with the Church, let’s give, in order to change lives.
