Montreal

Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Sanctuaire Marie-Reine-des-Coeurs, Montreal

In honour of the 27th World Day for Consecrated Life, which is observed every year on February 2 at the feast of the Presentation of the Lord, we will have the great pleasure of taking part in a Eucharistic celebration the following Saturday, February 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sanctuaire Marie-Reine-des-Coeurs, located at 5875 Sherbrooke St. E., Montreal. Archbishop Christian Lépine will be presiding. All are invited.

This day is an opportunity to give thanks to God for the many consecrated men and women in religious, monastic and contemplative Institutes, for those in the secular and new Institutes, for the members of the Ordo Virginum, for the hermits, the members of Societies of apostolic life and the members of Movements and Associations.

It is also a day to pray for them, as well as for new vocations, in addition to raising awareness among young people of the reality of consecrated life.

In this year of the Synod on synodality, as we are being exhorted to “walk together,” this day is an invitation to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contribution of the hundreds of men and women who, by their individual charism, have committed themselves to the mission of the Church in Montreal, in service, in prayer and in their testimony through the fraternal life.
