One year after the decree announcing the establishment of a diocesan policy for Responsible Pastoral Ministry aimed at ensuring a safe environment for all and to prevent any type of abuse against any vulnerable person, the Diocese of Montreal has published a diocesan guide.

The diocesan guide details the policy and the screening process, and contains the policy statement as well as all the appropriate tools for its implementation in an ecclesial context.

It has also been a year since the implementation of a pilot project during which several parishes were involved in the application of the preventive measures recommended.

We would like to express our appreciation and confidence in the missionary work of all priests, deacons, pastoral agents, catechists, volunteers and other members of our diocesan Church.
