Liturgical Suggestions for Kateri Tekakwitha’s Feast Day

For another year, Mission chez nous presents a new sheet suggesting liturgical arrangements to celebrate the memory of Kateri Tekakwitha, patron saint of the environment and of indigenous peoples, which the liturgical calendar sets for April 17. These suggestions can be used as you wish to highlight this significant feast for our different communities.
This year, as April 17, 2025 is Holy Thursday, the celebration of the Lord's Supper will take precedence over the memory of Kateri. It is nevertheless possible to include a universal prayer intention among those that will be read during this community celebration. In addition, a short meditation text is suggested as a reading during the adoration vigil that follows. Of course, these suggestions can also be used at another time during the week, during a daily mass or during a time of personal or family prayer.
