Three days before Valentine’s Day, at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral, hundreds of the faithful attended a special Mass with Archbishop Christian Lépine presiding. February 11 marked the celebration of World Marriage Day, and couples had the opportunity to renew their wedding vows during the Mass sponsored by the Worldwide Marriage Encounter movement.  Archbishop Lépine affirmed in his homily that “marriage is the most beautiful human reality on earth.”  Livestreamed on the YouTube channel of the Diocese of Montreal, the bilingual homily is available there, beginning at 47:27 in the video.

This year many of the movements, groups and parishes that offer marriage preparation and marriage enrichment weekends throughout the Diocese were present at the Mass - a sign of the vitality of our Diocese!
