On the occasion of this year’s National Volunteer Week, from April 16 to 22, 2023, SASMAD and Pastoral Home Care Services for the sick and the elderly in their homes, in concert with the Catholic Church of Montreal, wish to express their gratitude to the volunteer men and women who, today and over the past 30 and more years, have been accompanying thousands of beneficiaries in Christ’s name. In this work, SASMAD and Pastoral Home Care are responding to the Lord’s call stated in Matthew 25:36, “I was sick and you took care of me.” Thanks to the generous volunteer work of men and women inspired by selfless love for our beneficiaries, SASMAD and Pastoral Home Care Services are able to accompany the Lord, visiting his children and supporting them in the quest for meaning in their lives.
