Montreal

On June 24, you are all invited to the 10 a.m. solemn Mass at Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church, commemorating the birth of St. John the Baptist. The Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Christian Lépine.

It goes without saying that the Feast of St. John the Baptist is of great importance to the life and the history of our people and our Church. As in a number of dioceses in the country, the Catholic Church of Montreal solemnly celebrates the saint that has been declared patron saint of French Canadians by the Church in 1908.

The faithful in Montreal have been gathering over the past several decades in Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church, on Rachel Street, between Henri-Julien and Drolet (Métro Mont-Royal), to mark this occasion.

Schedule:

9 a.m.: Holy Hour and Sacrament of Reconciliation
10 a.m.: Solemn Mass
