Vocational Fair 2025
Montreal
On November 8, the Carrefour Intervocationnel hosted the 2025 Vocational Fair at the Saint Joseph’s Oratory, a renowned gathering and prayer site. The day featured testimonies, informational booths, and an opening address by Bishop Alain Faubert of Valleyfield.
Many religious communities—apostolic and contemplative alike—took the opportunity to present their vocations at interactive booths. Exhibitors also included lay movements such as the Focolari and Knights of Columbus, secular institutes, a religious publishing house, youth movements like Ziléos and Camp Beauséjour, a pilgrimage agency, and a religious museum. Visitors were offered a rich diversity of contributions, each vocation radiating its own unique light.
A significant part of the day centered on nine testimonies from individuals representing a wide variety of vocational callings: members from a monastic community, a diaconal couple, an apostolic sister, a married couple, a consecrated virgin aspirant, a consecrated member of a secular institute, and a priest. Throughout the day, they shared their experiences of vocation, reflecting on both the joys and challenges of their respective states of life.
The day concluded with Mass at the Brother André Chapel in the basilica of the Oratory. Concelebrated by seven priests, the liturgy was beautifully accompanied by music and celebrated by a prayerful and engaged assembly.
Over 250 participants responded to the invitation of the Carrefour Intervocationnel, visiting booths, listening to testimonies, and contributing to the joyful and dynamic atmosphere of the event.
The Carrefour extends heartfelt thanks to all visitors, the dedicated team of volunteers, and everyone who helped make the day a memorable occasion.
