On October 22, about one hundred participants gathered in the parish hall at St. John Fisher church in Pointe-Claire for the Focus on Victims of Abuse training seminar.

How can we enable Canadians to find their way back to the churches? He highlighted the specific challenges he faces in the mission, explaining that there has been a problem “in passing on the faith.”

On Saturday, October 15, the Salesian Province of New Rochelle honored 21 confreres who have accumulated 1,045 years of religious profession or priestly ordination. The Eucharistic celebration took place at the Marian Shrine chapel in Haverstraw with the provincial, Fr. Timothy Zak, SDB, presiding and preaching and more than 200 Salesians, Salesian sisters, family members, and friends of the jubilarians participating.
