On Saturday, May 4, our annual meeting for volunteers who provide ‘support for our priests’ throughout the year, was held in the parish hall of Mary Queen of the World Cathedral.

The meeting began with refreshments and fellowship. This was followed by a talk on ‘The good death: the mystery of the victorious Cross of Christ in the passion of man’ given by Dr. Laurence Normand-Rivest. There was time dedicated to questions and comments. The second talk was on ‘How to improve our visits to priests’ presented by Sister Natalia.

Mass was celebrated in the crypt of the Cathedral, presided over by Fr. François Charette, Director of the Office for Pastoral Personnel. We concluded the gathering with a fraternal meal.

We would like to thank each and every one of our volunteers for their dedication to serving our priests, especially the elderly and sick.
