The diaconal community gathered on Saturday, September 7 at Saint-Martin Parish in Laval for its annual relaunch under the theme: The charitable mission of the permanent deacon in the diocese of Montreal. 

Our keynote speaker was Fr. Claude Paradis, founder of Notre-Dame de la rue. More than 65 people attended the morning session, from both English- and French-speaking communities. 

In the afternoon we had the great joy of welcoming Archbishop Christian Lépine. He addressed the chosen theme with his own perspective.

We concluded the meeting with a celebration of the Eucharist and a Thanksgiving Mass, presided over by our archbishop.
