Kateri Tekakwitha: A Guide Who Sees Beyond
Montreal
Mission chez nous presents a new resource sheet suggesting liturgical arrangements to celebrate the memorial of Kateri Tekakwitha, patron of the environment and Indigenous peoples, which the liturgical calendar places on Apr. 17. These suggestions may be used freely to mark this significant feast in your various communities.
The 2026 edition includes two universal prayer intentions — one offered by Alain Bilodeau, d.p., a worker in Indigenous ministry, and another by Anita Pauline Chachai, an Atikamekw from Opitciwan — as well as a longer prayer also by Alain Bilodeau. The sheet also features an original guided meditation and visualization exercise.
