We are happy to share with you the theme and resources for our diocesan celebration of Quebec Family Week. "Let's support our families....because family life is a vocation!" What does it mean that family life is a vocation? Don't priests and nuns have vocations? Yes, they do, but so too do families! Each family is "called" (vocare) by God to be a mirror of his life and his presence in the world : to be a presence of love. This means that God has a personal and unique plan for each family. Do only "perfect" families have vocations? No! All families do! “No family drops down from heaven perfectly formed; families need constantly to grow and mature in the ability to love," encourages Pope Francis. Let's celebrate and support our families in a special way this week, above all by praying for them that they may discover and live their special vocation in the heart of our church. Thank you families for your witness to God's love, patience, generosity and mercy in the heart of our diocese.
