Archbishop Christian Lépine welcomes you to take part in this year’s Corpus Christi mass at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral, followed by a procession through the streets of downtown Montreal to St. Patrick’s Basilica, Thursday evening, May 31 at 7:30 p.m.

Dear Faithful,

When Mary, after the Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel, sets off to visit her cousin Elizabeth, she brings Jesus still within her. In the same way, the Church's central mission, through all its commitments, is to bring Jesus to the world.

This year our diocesan patronal feast day, the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary on May 31th, falls on the annual Corpus Christi Thursday, also known as the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ.

With our mission to bring Jesus to the world of our time as in Mary's example, I eagerly invite you to the great Diocesan celebration of Corpus Christi on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 7:30 pm, at Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral. We will gather to celebrate Holy Mass followed by a procession of the Blessed Sacrament to Saint Patrick's Basilica. We will be praying that we may encounter, as Mary did, the world and its people in a spirit of service and with Jesus presence.

May Mary be the model of the Catholic Church in Montreal, that by her prayer and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our Archdiocese of "Ville-Marie" will become ever more involved in a missionary shift to bring to our society, the Joy of the Gospel that arises from the Eucharist, source and summit of the life of the Church.

May Jesus Christ always be the center of our life and of our commitment. May He bless you and keep you faithful to the Mass and to the Adoration.
