Mario Zakhour, who has been part of the Challenge family since 2013, is stepping into the role of Lay Director. His passion and dedication are sure to bring a new energy to our community.

Welcoming Our New Spiritual Director

We are blessed to announce that Fr. Joy Biswas, who completed his Challenge as a seminarian and was ordained in February, is now our new Spiritual Director. Fr. Joy, a priest of the Holy Cross community, brings with him a wealth of experience and spiritual guidance. His leadership will undoubtedly enrich our movement in the months to come.A New Home for Challenge: St. Laurent ParishThanks to the generosity of Fr. Joy and the Holy Cross community, Challenge now has a permanent home at St. Laurent Parish (805 Sainte-Croix Av., Saint-Laurent, Quebec H4L 3X6). All weekly Ultreyas will be held here, creating a consistent and welcoming space for our gatherings.

Mark Your Calendars: Upcoming Retreat - C45

It’s been a long time coming, but we’re thrilled to announce that Challenge will be hosting its 45th retreat on October 25-27, 2024. Mario and Palmina Montanaro will co-direct this retreat, which will be a pivotal moment in revitalizing our movement. We’re calling on all Challengers, whether active or alumni, to join us in making this retreat a memorable one. Let’s rebuild our community together!

Celebrating 25 Years of Challenge

Our 25th-anniversary celebration was a resounding success, with 46 Challengers and friends gathering for Mass presided by Fr. Joy and Fr. Stephen Otvos followed by a joyful BBQ. Special thanks to the anniversary committee and everyone who contributed to making this event unforgettable. The celebration not only strengthened our bonds but also led to 9 potential candidates expressing interest in our upcoming retreat.
