Most Reverend Christian Lépine, Archbishop of Montreal, will preside at the state funeral of René Angélil on Friday, January 22 at 3 pm.

Céline Dion's husband will lie in state the day before, on January 21. The public will be able to pay him their last respects between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.

René Angélil, born on January 16, 1942 in Villeray, Montréal, from a Melkite Catholic family, died on Thursday of throat cancer at the age of 73.
