To encourage widespread participation, consider highlighting this day within your community during the following Sunday gathering (June 9).

This occasion provides an opportunity to:

• Pray for the sanctification of priests
• Pray for seminarians to become holy priests
• Pray for new priestly vocations
• Encourage people to pray for specific priests

• Inspire young people to follow Christ as holy priests

We also suggest different activities to implement with your youth groups or communities to support priests on their path to holiness. Here are some activities you might consider organizing with the young people you mentor:

1. **Visit Elderly and Retired Priests**: Nothing warms a priest's heart like a kind visit from young people. Organize meetings where the youth can interact, listen to their stories, and express gratitude to these devoted servants of God.

2. **Send Appreciation Cards**: Invite young people and/or parishioners to write messages of recognition and encouragement on cards or postcards. These simple yet sincere words can bring comfort and joy to priests dedicated to their ministry. You can use our attached example.

3. **Other Creative Ideas**: Let your imagination run free! Perhaps you could organize a special prayer vigil for priests (see our online materials) or testimonials from aspiring priests, create posters or videos to raise awareness of their role, or even share a community meal with priests.
