This week of action, initiated by the U.S.-based United National Antiwar Coalition (UNAC), is championed in Canada by the Canada Peace and Justice Network, a coalition of 45 civil society organizations.

On this Feast of St. Luke the Evangelist, His Holiness Pope Francis accepted the resignation of Msgr, André Gazaille, 6th bishop of Nicolet, and appointed his successor, Msgr. Daniel Jodoin. At the time of the appointment, Msgr. Jodoin was bishop of the diocese of Bathurst in New Brunswick.
