Pope to participate in first International Day of Human Fraternity

The Holy Father will mark International Day of Human Fraternity in a virtual meeting on February 4, the date set by the United Nations General Assembly for this new annual event. He will be joined by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad Al-Tayyeb. The event will be hosted in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
Pope establishes World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly

Pope Francis has decided to institute a Church-wide celebration of a World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. Starting this year, it will be held on the fourth Sunday of July, close to the liturgical memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus.
