Message from the Archbishop
Montreal
Dear collaborators with the Archdiocese of Montreal,
I am pleased to announce that Mr. Domenic De Luca will be continuing in the position of diocesan Financial Administrator. Mr. De Luca assumed this role on an interim basis in March 2022 and accepted the appointment November 14, 2022.
He has spent the past weeks coordinating the transition with Mr. Frank Trozzo, who was obliged to leave the Archdiocese on account of personal reasons.
Domenic has extensive experience in the financial and corporate management of privately owned and publicly traded companies, as well as in non-profit organizations. He has played a decisive role in securing various sources of financing, and he has headed various departments, including finance, accounting, human resources, purchasing and information technology. Domenic De Luca holds a diploma in public accounting from McGill University and a BCom with specialization in accounting from Concordia University. In addition, he is a member of the Quebec CPA Order.
In his key role with the Archdiocese of Montreal, Mr. De Luca oversees the administration of diocesan assets. He works directly with the Archbishop and in collaboration with the vicars general, the directors of offices and services of the curia and the Council for Economic Affairs supporting the financial management of the diocese. As head of Financial Administration, he will also be supervising, along with the moderator of the curia, the activities of various departments, including accounting, philanthropy, real estate, administrative services to Fabriques, human resources and the general stewardship of the Archdiocese.
I am grateful to Domenic for his excellent work thus far on our behalf, and I wish him continued success in his role.
May God bless you, may He fill you with his Light and keep you in his Peace.
+ Christian Lépine
Archbishop of Montreal
