En Route to the Jubilee: 800 Years in the Footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi
Montreal
Dear Brothers and Sisters of the great Franciscan family,
Dear Brothers and Sisters in consecrated life,
Eight centuries ago, in 1226, Saint Francis of Assisi was called home to the Father, leaving behind a legacy of peace, simplicity and boundless love for Creation. In this jubilee year, the universal Church turns to him in a special way, honouring a witness whose light continues to guide the faithful.
To mark this historic anniversary and as part of the Jubilee Year of Saint Francis proclaimed by Pope Leo XIV, the diocesan Office for Consecrated Life of the Archdiocese of Montreal, in partnership with local Franciscan communities, invites you to join them on a day-long pilgrimage to the Sanctuaire de la Réparation au Sacré-Cœur et de Padre Pio, a place of spiritual renewal steeped in Franciscan values.
