World Day of the Sick 2018
General
This year marks the 26th World Day of the Sick, instituted in 1992 by Saint John Paul II. SASMAD welcomes everyone to its annual celebration for and with the sick, on Saturday, February 11 at Saint-Jude Sanctuary.
The day will begin with a greeting at 9:00 am, followed by Lauds and Rosary at 9:30 am and the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 11 am. Priests will be available for individual confessions and to perform the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
The event will culminate at noon with a Eucharistic celebration presided by the Archbishop of Montreal, Most Reverend Christian Lépine. A meal will then be served for all the participants in the basement of the sanctuary. A special welcome to the elderly and or the sick and those accompanying them!
