On December 10, on the second Sunday of Advent, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus Jude St-Antoine of Montreal died at Montreal's Santa Cabrini Hospital at the age of 93.

His body will lie in state on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 2 to 5 p.m., and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Marie-Reine-du-Monde Cathedral (1085 de la Cathédrale street, Montreal, QC, H3B 2V4).    

Visiting hours will continue on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, at the Cathedral. The funeral mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the same location and will be broadcast on the YouTube site of the Catholic Church in Montreal.

Let us pray that the Lord, to whom he devoted his life to serving, who he loved and made known through his ministry, will welcome Bishop St-Antoine into eternal peace. Following his priestly life which spanned close to seven decades, four of which he served as bishop, he peacefully delivered his final "yes" to the Lord.
