Second Forum Émergence a Success: Professionals Mobilized for the Common Good
Montreal
Thanks to committed sponsors and experienced mentors, six social innovation projects are now taking flight.
On Saturday, November 8, Réseau Croissance hosted the second edition of its Forum Émergence, an event designed to engage Christian professionals in initiatives with meaningful social impact. Nearly 75 participants came together in the new conference space of the law firm Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in downtown Montreal.
During the forum, six innovative social projects were presented. Each project received a $5,000 grant, along with personalized guidance from mentors drawn from business and civil society. These mentors pledged a minimum of five volunteer hours to support project leaders in the development, planning, and implementation of their initiatives.
One project, Espace Parvis, stood out by receiving a $10,000 grant to support its participatory and collaborative workshops, which promote engagement, autonomy, and self-awareness among youth.
"Our experience at Forum Émergence allowed us to discover meaningful projects and meet passionate, committed professionals," said Angélique Sanches, co-founder of Espace Parvis. "The guidance offered by experts and the Marguerite Bourgeoys grant provide a true springboard for our project’s growth. We are deeply grateful to the Réseau Croissance team for this forward-looking initiative."
A Day of Engagement and Purpose
Forum Émergence aligns with Réseau Croissance’s mission to mobilize professionals to contribute five hours of their expertise to social impact initiatives. The event creates a space for connection and collaboration among project leaders, mentors, and partners, united by a shared vision of the common good.
"Forum Émergence is above all a space for encounter, faith, and commitment, where ideas take root through collaboration and the generosity of our members and partners," explained Suzanne Frigault, founder of Réseau Croissance. "We believe every professional has something unique to offer the world, and this day demonstrates the power of collective intelligence to nurture projects for the common good. I want to sincerely thank all our partners and sponsors for their vital support in this edition."
Following the success of this second edition, Réseau Croissance plans to host additional meetings and themed workshops in the coming months to build on the momentum of the forum. Details will be announced soon on the organization’s website.
