Montreal

Montreal, Quebec - After a two-year hiatus, Communion and Liberation (CL Canada) resumes the traditional Way of the Cross procession through the streets of Old Montreal on Good Friday, April 15, 2022.

An expected few hundred participants led by Mgr. Christian Lépine will start the walk at 9:30 a.m. at the historical Chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours to continue to the Notre-Dame Basilica, followed by Saint Patrick Cathedral and Church of the Gesù, then passing through Place Ville Marie to arrive around noon at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral.

This commemoration of the Passion of our Lord on Good Friday is a public event open to all. Prayers and readings will be read upon arrival at each of the six stations and the CL choir will perform Lenten hymns. Reverent silence will be observed during the procession from one religious site to the next.
